An Itch You Can’t Quite Scratch
Skin conditions like eczema, dandruff, and psoriasis can be uncomfortable, frustrating, and hard to manage on your own. At Elite Skin, we help you find lasting relief with personalized care designed to reduce symptoms and make flare-ups less frequent and more manageable.

Eczema
Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes red, dry, and scaly patches to develop on the skin. Eczema can appear on the face, scalp, behind the knees, crooks of the elbows, arms, and wrists. These patches can be easily irritated, causing itchiness, but it’s critical to avoid scratching the affected areas as this can worsen inflammation, damage the skin barrier, increase infection risk, and delay healing.
Eczema affects people in different ways, but there are a number of potential conditions that can cause a flare-up.
As eczema affects people uniquely, treatments are also often unique to the individual. From topical medications to light therapy to education on specific moisturizers and other products to use, Elite Skin can help you better manage your symptoms to avoid flare ups.

Dandruff
Dandruff is a common scalp condition that causes flaking and shedding of skin. While it isn’t contagious or harmful to your health, it can be persistent, frustrating, and sometimes embarrassing to deal with.
Dandruff tends to flare up more often when you are stressed or during cold, dry seasons. Most forms of dandruff can be treated with a gentle daily or even medicated shampoo. When over-the-counter remedies aren’t enough, Elite Skin’s specialists can provide personalized care to get your skin back on track.

Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition caused by an overactive immune system, leading to a rapid buildup of skin cells. This often results in red, scaly, and itchy patches that can be both uncomfortable and difficult to manage. While not contagious, psoriasis can impact quality of life—and in some cases, it may also be linked to joint pain and stiffness, a condition known as psoriatic arthritis.
There are five types of psoriasis:
The most common type, plaque psoriasis accounts for over 80% of psoriasis cases. These plaques appear as raised, inflamed and scaly patches of skin that may also be itchy and painful
Inverse psoriasis are smooth and shiny patches on the skin, primarily in places where your skin folds such as your underarms or in between your legs. Many people with inverse psoriasis have another type of psoriasis elsewhere on the body at the same time.
Guttate psoriasis is relatively rare (only about 8% of total psoriasis cases). It often starts in childhood, though it can occur at any age. Guttate psoriasis develops as many small, round, and scaly red spots, often located on the arms, legs and torso. It also tends to flare up in conjunction with other types of psoriasis and is linked to strep throat.
While only 3% of psoriasis cases are pustular, the condition tends to be more common in skin of color. Symptoms include white or yellow, pus-filled, painful bumps that may be surrounded by inflamed or reddened/discolored skin. People with plaque psoriasis or other types may also develop pustular psoriasis over time.
Erythrodermic psoriasis affects nearly your entire body and can be life-threatening. This type of psoriasis disrupts your body’s normal temperature and fluid balance, potentially leading to shivering and/or edema in different parts of the body. People with erythrodermic psoriasis may also have a higher risk of infection, pneumonia and heart failure.
There is no complete cure for psoriasis, but there are many effective treatments, such as topicals, phototherapy and systemics. Elite Skin can help determine the most effective treatment for you, improving your symptoms while lowering the risk of developing additional related comorbidities.
A Life Less Itchy
