Get A Medical-Grade Facial.

If you’ve ever had a facial, either at a spa or using an over-the-counter product, you’ll have a pretty good idea of what you’re in for with a chemical peel. Like a facial, a chemical solution is applied to either an affected area or, more commonly, the entire face. The solution is then peeled away, removing dead skin and stimulating newer and healthier skin generation.

Chemical Peels

A Facial vs. A Chemical Peel

The difference between a facial and a chemical peel is that a chemical peel penetrates more deeply, not only giving you that fresh-faced feel, but treating a variety of skin blemishes and conditions, including:
  • Acne
  • Dark spots
  • Scarring
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tones
  • Dehydrated, aged or damaged skin
  • Large pores
  • Rough skin texture

After the chemical solution is applied, you’re free to go—though the treatment continues to work in the days that follow. As the top layers of skin begin to dry and naturally shed, it’s important to let the process happen on its own. Our team will provide detailed aftercare instructions, but in general, avoid picking or peeling the skin, keep the area well-moisturized, and protect it from sun exposure, heat, and other potential irritants to ensure optimal healing and results.

About a week after your peel is applied, you should start to see new, healthier and clearer skin replacing the old!

We also offer Invisapeel, a specially curated peel designed to have nearly zero downtime with minimal flaking. It’s a great option to quickly and discreetly enhance the appearance of your face. This type of treatment is often purchased in packages of 3 or 6 and performed over multiple months for the best results.

FAQ

Yes, chemical peels are considered safe when performed by trained professionals. They use skin-safe acids to gently exfoliate the outer layers of dead or damaged skin, encouraging healthy new skin to regenerate. During the treatment, you may feel a temporary sensation of coolness, warmth, or mild tingling, but any discomfort is typically short-lived.

The chemical application is a short outpatient procedure. After that, your skin will react to the solution over the course of a few days. Within about a week, you should see new skin growth and in about two weeks the process will be fully complete.

Elite Skin offers a range of chemical peels, including TCA peels at 15%, 20%, and 30% strength—the higher the percentage, the deeper the peel and the longer the recovery. We also provide Jessner’s Peel for enhanced exfoliation and Invisapeel, a gentler option with no downtime. Our team will help you choose the best peel for your skin.

Recovery time varies depending on the type of peel performed, but two weeks is generally a safe window. While most people can return to normal activities right away, we recommend scheduling your peel at least 2–4 weeks before any major event to allow your skin to fully heal and reveal its best results
