Dermal Fillers

Minimally-invasive skin procedure.

Return To That Youthful Look

Dermal fillers are a minimally-invasive procedure that provide better structure to your skin, correcting wrinkles and fine lines and restoring volume and pep to various areas of the body. These fillers are often preferable to a facelift or other more invasive procedure, giving a more natural boost while minimizing recovery time.

Fillers are temporary, with most lasting between six months and a year, depending on the type of filler and the area of the body it’s applied to. The most common type of filler uses hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally throughout our bodies, but there are other types of fillers that can be firmer to provide additional structure or lift. Our expert staff can help you determine which filler is the best for your situation.

Our Dermal Filler Options

At Elite Skin, we offer a number of dermal filler options based on your unique needs.

Restylane is the original aesthetic hyaluronic acid filler and one of the most commonly used fillers. This formula mimics your own body’s naturally produced hyaluronic acid to reduce the effects of wrinkles and folds.

Radiesse uses calcium hydroxylapatite (also known as CaHA), an FDA approved filler that provides more structure than hyaluronic acid while lasting longer too. It specifically targets moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, especially those around the jawline or cheeks.

While standard Radiesse is utilized almost exclusively for the face, hyper volumeized, also referred to as “hyperdilute” Radiesse is used in both the face and other areas of the body (such as the neck, thighs, buttocks and arms) to improve the texture and firmness of your skin.

Sculptra is an aesthetic injectable that uses poly-L-lactic acid instead of traditional hyaluronic acid, helping to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. The result is smoother skin, reduced wrinkles, and improved firmness over time.

FAQ

We begin by applying a topical numbing cream for 20–30 minutes, followed by ice to help reduce discomfort and minimize the risk of bruising. Once the area is numb, we’ll cleanse and prepare the skin for the injection procedure.

After an injection, the affected area will often become red and swollen. This will subside over the course of 24-72 hours. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and minimizing alcohol and blood thinners while the area remains swollen.

You should see results immediately, though they may be slightly obscured by the temporary swelling. Fillers typically last anywhere from six months to a year, though some fillers are able to last 18 months and sometimes longer.

Most fillers contain a numbing agent (lidocaine), and we also use topical numbing cream or ice to keep you comfortable. You may feel a slight pinch or pressure during the injection, but discomfort is usually minimal.

Yes. If a hyaluronic acid filler is used and you’re not satisfied with the results or experience a complication, an enzyme called hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the filler.
