There are a number of different types of Sciton treatments. Let’s dive a little deeper into each.
Probably not what you first thought, BBL stands for BroadBand Light and is a powerful IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment used to make skin clearer. This method is non-invasive and normally performed over a number of sessions.
A quick and relatively painless option to reduce unwanted facial and body hair. The laser used in this treatment targets melanin, meaning it’s most effective on dark hair. Generally, 3-6 treatments are needed for complete results.
Erbium-YAG (also known as Er:YAG) laser treatments destroys damaged or diseased skin cells, making it a great option for sun damage, scars and a number of smaller skin growths.

Sclerotherapy/Leg Vein Laser Treatments
Sclerotherapy is a treatment for enlarged or twisted veins, also known as varicose veins or spider veins, typically found in the legs. In this method, a small needle is inserted into the affected vein and a solution is injected. This solution causes the vein to scar, but worry not – the scarring actually causes your blood to flow through healthier veins instead, causing the varicose veins to naturally fade away over time.

FAQ
When performed by experts like the ones at Elite Skin, laser skin treatments are quite safe. We take every precaution to ensure you get maximum results with minimal risk.
Laser treatments are relatively simple outpatient procedures. Depending on the amount of areas to treat, you should expect the process to take anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours.
After the procedure, the lasered area(s) will be bandaged. After the first 24 hours you’ll need to clear the area around four to five times a day for 2-3 days, applying an ointment to prevent scabbing. Some swelling of the skin is normal, as is some itchiness and peeling. Depending on the areas and problems treated, healing can take around 1-3 weeks. Some redness may still appear, but should fade over the course of a couple months.
After a sclerotherapy session, the treated area should fade over a few weeks, though full results may not be seen for a month or more. In some cases, additional sclerotherapy sessions may be required.
